Wilson homers twice in win over GBG Pono
2022 Joey Wilson remained scorching hot at the dish, hitting two home runs in a victory over GBG Pono. He ended the day 2 for 3 with 4 RBIs. The first was a 3-Run shot to dead center. In his next at-bat he hit a solo shot to left-center. Tigers won the game 7-1. Leading the way on the mound was 2022 LHP Devin Hayashi (3.2 IP, 5 Ks, 1 ER).

Right on cue, 2022 INF Kamanui Saito smacked a triple to right field on a rainy night at Hans L'Orange field in Waipahu. A few innings later, 2022 catcher Jayden Flores followed his Tiger brother by smoking one into the right center gap. Flores also threw a runner attempting to steal 2nd. The Sabers fell short to Mililani due to a 7th inning. homerun by Anu Reis that broke the tie. Saito was named player of the game for Campbell.
Back to Back RBIs: Souza & Ornelles put Punahou on the board
The new kids in town, Nolan Souza (2023) and Jacob Ornelles (2022), put Punahou on the board with back to back RBIs vs Damien Memorial High School. Both boys ended the game with 2 hits each. When batting back to back this year, Thunder & Lighting are batting .526 (10 for 19) with 11 runs batted in and 7 runs scored.

New Kids In Town: Souza & Ornelles Both Go Yard in 1st Varsity Game
The new kids in town, Nolan Souza (2023) and Jacob Ornelles (2022), introduced themselves to the ILH Varsity baseball scene by bopping homeruns. The two were batting back to back in the lineup and combined for 2 HR, 7 RBI, and 3 runs scored in a 14-10 loss to Mid-Pacific Institute.

HT Pitching Shines in 1st Game Back
After a 7-month hiatus (due to the covid shutdown), the #HTBoyz finally took the diamond for some live game action against Hawaii Elite 2G. New pitching acquisitions helped the staff rack up 8Ks over 7 innings. 2022 RHP Kila Kaniho (Punahou) led the way with 3Ks in 2 innings. 2023 Pearl City Boys, Drew Boyles & Eli Oshiro, each tallied 2Ks while Campbell sophomore, Julius Guanio racked up 1 to end the 7th. Leading the way offensively was Arkansas Razorback commit, Nolan Souza.
